We’re now 2½ weeks away from launch, and everything is coming together beautifully.
Most important: We have already sold more than 80 tickets (of the 110-125 available), and we have been contacted in advance by many participants who want advice on how to pitch their idea. Exciting ideas out there. (More about that in a later blogposting).
In fact, we also have 15 people on a waiting list for business-tickets, and we’re in the process of finding out if we can expand the number of tickets for this group. We’ll let you know as soon as possible.
We would, however, like more designers and developers to participate. The more diversity – the better.
If you could help us spread the word about our event – it would really be appreciated. One simple way is to distribute our poster. Print it and stick on the wall at your university – or near any coffee machine frequently used by designers and developers.
You may also simply send a tweet about our event (and possibly about the fact, that your going yourself). There’s a good chance, that this will attract more people.
It’s the first time Startup Weekend has ever (worldwide) focused on helping new media ideas get off the ground. It’s about time – and we can’t wait to meet you all.
